A lil comic test without texts, I wanted to try something new and I realized again how much it takes time to draw only a page. (I had forgot it… 0_0)
I did it totally on photoshop without any previous sketches to scan. Maybe I’ll do some more pages but nothing is certain. Consider it like a kind of training for my two other comics “Second Chance” and “Life Key”.

That is a scene that would happen after Riwan’s father death.

Two new charas:

The woman is Kaika, a butterfly whose wings have been “taken away” by the emperor thanks to some magic.
He wants to keep her in his palace to can use her powers because she can see in the past, present and future. She also can read in the mind of people and sees energies like auras, etc…

She suffered of her situation when she was younger but learnt to appreciate her new life at the Emperor’s service, same if she’s still not really happy to be imprisoned inside a golden cage.

The other guy in the last plan is named Yashuu and is a fox demon. He’s one of the generals of the Emperor and will become the sensei of Riwan because the father of this one was a great friend.

He doesn’t like big honours and luxurious things, the people who don’t know him can even underestimate his power because he doesn’t show it to parade like the other generals. But his ability to do tactics and war strategies are deadly for his enemies like his force.

Technical points:

For Kaika I tried to be rather close of the original and noble kimonos that we could find in the ancestral Japan. But I’m not convinced with the colours of her clothes. I used the ones I saw in books though…

And I'm still trying to improve in backgrounds…
